A Luxury Nature Resort Near Hyderabad

Little Adventures. Lasting Memories
There is a certain joy in discovering a place together. A forest that was once barren rock. A lighthouse built from earth, with views across the countryside. A quiet walk through paddy fields, or an unexpected game that has everyone laughing.
Across eleven acres, with just nine places to stay, this luxury nature resort near Hyderabad leaves you free to follow your curiosity. Swim, explore, sing, play, or simply sit together as evening settles in. Some of the loveliest memories begin when nobody is watching the clock.
Nature, given time to return
Ten years ago, much of this land was bare rock, with barely a tree in sight. In 2015, thousands of little saplings were planted by hand, beginning a transformation that continues today.
Now, three Miyawaki forests rise above the paths, some trees reaching forty feet. Butterflies flit through the gardens, birds gather around the water, and the estate is home to around 20,000 trees and saplings, with 97 bird species documented.
Walk beneath the canopy, listen to the life around you, and imagine what this place looked like when it all began. There is something rather wonderful about being surrounded by a forest that people helped bring to life.

The Infinity Pool
Swim overlooking the pond, with gardens, trees and open skies all around. Watch the changing light, stretch out in a hammock with a book, or enjoy the happy commotion of children in the water. Sometimes the best part of a swim is simply staying a little longe

Play, Laugh, Repeat.
A game of pickleball, basketball or football can quickly turn into a family competition. Indoors, there’s table tennis, carrom, darts, LEGO and board games for every generation. At Arbor, a little friendly rivalry often leads to a great deal of laughter — and stories that get retold long after the holiday.

Among Birds and Trees
Follow the mosaic paths through gardens and forests that were planted where bare rock once stood. Look for butterflies, listen for birds, and discover unexpected pieces of art fashioned from discarded materials. With around 97 bird species documented at Arbor, even a short wander can bring a lovely surprise
Walk Beneath a Decade of Growth

Step beneath the canopy and the world changes. The light softens, the air feels different, and the sounds of the estate give way to rustling leaves and birds calling somewhere overhead.
These trees began as little saplings planted in 2015. Today, some stand nearly forty feet tall, their branches meeting above the paths. Wander through the three Miyawaki forest clusters, look for the smaller lives hidden among the leaves, or pause at the machaan overlooking the neighbouring fields.
There is a quiet pleasure in getting a little lost in a forest that didn’t exist a decade ago.
The Lighthouse and Amphitheatre.
Who would expect to find a lighthouse in the countryside near Hyderabad?
Arbor’s 51-foot Lighthouse rises from the ancient Deccan rocks, built with earth blocks made right here on the estate. At its feet, a 60-seat amphitheatre has been shaped around the rocks rather than clearing them away. Inside the tower, a little library holds books for every age, alongside old toys and memorabilia that may bring back a childhood memory or two.
After evening tea, join our leisurely walk through the estate, ending at the top of the Lighthouse. As the sun begins to set, the view opens across treetops, paddy fields and Wargal Lake. There is often a little conversation, a shared smile, and then a moment when everyone simply watches the sky.
Some evenings stay with you long after you’ve gone home.
Always Something More to Discover
At Arbor Road Estate, even a short wander can turn into a little adventure. Follow a mosaic pathway and discover a sculpture fashioned from something once discarded. Come upon an old Deccan rock left just where nature placed it, a pond alive with birds, or a quiet garden corner you hadn’t noticed before.
There are stories tucked into the landscape, some made by nature and others by the hands of people who built the estate. Children find things to investigate, grown-ups find reasons to linger, and a simple walk can become an unexpected conversation.
There is no route to follow, no timetable to keep. Just the pleasure of seeing what you might discover next.

The other citizens
The Estate has its own little community of residents. Birds gather around the water, butterflies visit the flowers, and all manner of small creatures go about their lives among the trees and rocks. Take a closer look and you may discover that the estate is rather busier than it first appears.

Through the Gardens
Wander through gardens that have grown alongside the estate, where flowering plants, trees and winding pathways bring something different into view around every corner. Look out for handmade mosaics, unexpected pieces of art and little details that reveal the care of the people who tend these spaces.

Time for yourself
Find a shady corner with a book, settle into a hammock, or simply sit and watch the world go by. There is room for conversation and laughter at Arbor, but also room for a little solitude. And sometimes, having nowhere particular to be is the nicest feeling of all.
A Café Full of Stories
There is more than food to discover at Arbor’s café. Old cameras, vintage tricycles and a beautifully restored pedal car sit among memorabilia collected over the years. Something catches a grandparent’s eye, a child asks what it is, and before long, another story is being told.
The food has its own character. Freshly ground spices, homemade ghee, chutneys and preserves, seasonal produce from the estate and neighbouring farms, and familiar recipes prepared with care. Our cooking is deliberately light on oil and chilli, allowing the flavours to speak for themselves.
Settle in for a leisurely meal, perhaps overlooking the lily pond. With all meals included in your stay, there is time for another helping, another story and the simple pleasure of being together.
Sometimes, Doing Nothing Is the Experience

There is a particular pleasure in a day with nothing planned.
Find a hammock beneath the trees, take a book to a quiet corner, or sit beside the water and watch the birds come and go. Perhaps the afternoon passes in conversation, perhaps in comfortable silence.
At Arbor, there is always something to do, but never any expectation that you should. Sometimes the nicest part of being away is simply having time for yourself and the people you love.
Birding and Water amidst Deccan Rocks

Wake to the Birds
Mornings at Arbor begin with birdsong. Kingfishers visit the water, peacocks wander through the estate, and smaller birds flit between the trees. With 97 species documented here, there is always something to look out for. Bring your binoculars, or simply enjoy the company of Arbor's feathered residents.

The Sounds of Water
The large rainwater pond, smaller lily ponds and gently moving water bring a different rhythm to the estate. Watch the reflections change through the day, listen to the water from a shaded corner, or look for the birds that gather along its edges. These waters are also part of Estate's larger story of bringing life back to once-barren land.

Rocks Millions of years old
Long before the first tree was planted, the Deccan rocks were here. Rather than clear them away, we built around them, leaving their shapes and character intact. Some now frame the amphitheatre, others emerge unexpectedly along a pathway. They are a quiet reminder of how much of this landscape existed long before us.
